Specific Environmental Release Categories (SPERCs) are a tool developed under REACH to describe the conditions of use and related environmental release factors for a specific use. They are not intended to be site specific but address typical generic emission situations. Catalysts Europe have developed a SPERC for the manufacture of metal containing catalysts.
